Estranged sisters, Hattie and Margo are forced to reconnect after the death of their mother. Margo, an avid rock climber, runs from her grief and tries to channel it into a difficult climb. Meanwhile, Hattie, who hasn't been home in 10 years, handles things around the house by packing and sorting family memorabilia to take for donation. Margo returns home after failing to finish her climb and finds her things packed up. Chasing Hattie to the car, Margo challenges her about what is junk and what is actually their childhood memories. To Hattie they are one in the same. After another altercation, Margot takes off to attempt her climb once more. She is again able to reach the crux of the climb, but cannot get further. Frustrated and angry, she gives up a second time. That evening, Margo returns home to find Hattie sitting at the kitchen table waiting for her. The sisters allow themselves to be vulnerable with one another for the first time, admitting things to each other they never have before. This new connection leads to a night of reminiscing about funny childhood memories and wounds that seem to still be open. Margo finally tells her sister how deeply the estrangement has affected her and her wish to be in each others lives. Hattie is scheduled to leave the next morning, but holds her sister in a hug for what feels like the first time ever. The next day, Margo is back at the climb. After another failed attempt, she lays back on her mat when an unexpected surprise ends up helping her finally reach the top of the climb.
