Years of Darkness

Years of Darkness is a Kuwaiti drama series inspired by the true story of the late writer Badr Al-Mutairi. The series follows Badr, a kind-hearted young man whose life is shattered when he is falsely accused of drug trafficking due to identity theft. Despite his innocence, he is sentenced to seven years in prison. As the story moves between his harsh reality behind bars and the life he lost, including his love for Manar and the pain endured by his family Badr fights to prove the truth. The series explores injustice, psychological resilience, and the lasting scars of wrongful imprisonment. Eventually exonerated, Badr regains his freedom, but the years of darkness leave irreversible marks.
