Metropius

In the city of Metropius, Detective Goodall returns to police work after some extended leave just as a young woman, Claire, has been forcibly kidnapped by something lurking under the city streets. Metropius' police tend to be subordinate to the city's true power structure, the Roses, which operate solely under the control of Rose Ministries, the corporation which built Metropius. So when Goodall starts investigating where Claire went, it draws the attention of the city's enforcers, the Thorns.
