Visus-Expedition Arche Noah
A research vessel finds a sunken Crusader ship off the Turkish Mediterranean coast. The ship sank in 1369 en route from Cyprus to Armenia . A pentagonal stone structure, approximately three meters in diameter, is recovered . Based on the position of the dead crew's bodies, it is assumed that the plague, rampant in Europe at the time, ravaged the vessel. A special intervention team from a secret religious order boards the ship at night, destroys the stone structure's casing, removes its contents, and locks the crew in the cargo hold, along with the plague pathogen. Young former college student Robert Kästner travels to Italy at the request of his uncle, Professor Sörensen, a researcher of a Noah's Ark project, to visit a colleague. Robert finds there an ancient Armenian manuscript and a medieval depiction of Mary by a painter named Visus and finds the researcher dead in the refrigerator and flees. Kästner and Sörensen's assistant Anahit meet in Yerevan , Armenia, where they decipher the writings Kästner has found, which point to the Eye of God , supposedly transported on Noah's Ark . The text says by reuniting the two parts of the Eye, creation would be reborn. This is the goal of the secret order, to restore the now-corrupted world to its origins. Meanwhile, a German couple on holiday discovers the wrecked research vessel and its dead crew during a boat trip. The young people also contract the plague. Anahit, who wants to return to the research vessel, is also arrested and examined, but she is healthy. Together with the virologist, she goes to the research vessel and reconstructs the remains of the stone block. A commando unit of the secret order blows up the ship; the virologist is killed, but Anahit escapes. However, she too is now infected with the plague. Kästner travels to the headquarters of the secret order, where he meets his uncle, Professor Sörensen. Both are imprisoned but manage to escape through a secret tunnel. Meanwhile, the Eye of God has been brought from the seabed to Armenia. In Armenia, Kästner, Anahit, and Hayk reunite. They discover that a Soviet beverage factory has been built above the monastery. They arrive at the monastery at the same time as the members of the Order. Anahit is shot and critically wounded. The Order's followers have lowered their eye into the monastery's underground cathedral on ropes, where the other Eye of God is also located. A reaction occurs between the two eyes, causing an explosion in the sky. Kästner manages to cut the ropes of one eye, severing the connection and preventing its re-creation. The eye falls and is destroyed, incapacitating the Order's followers. Anahit recovers through the healing power of the remaining eye.
